Storytelling production company 1stAveMachine, with offices in NYC, LA and London, has announced that it will expand its mixed media, animation and production capabilities by teaming up with longtime partner TRONCO to form 1stAveMachine Buenos Aires – the culmination of over ten Years of creativity collaboration.
TRONCO is a mixed media production and post studio whose artists have a wide variety of filmmaking skills, 2D and 3D animation skills, extensive CG skills, and more. The creation of 1stAveMachine Buenos Aires was a natural evolution for both companies as it lends itself to creating fascinating graphics for brands and agencies alike and has been part of the 1stAveMachine roster for almost a decade.
Sam Penfield, Partner and Executive Producer of 1stAveMachine, explains: “The truth is that we have worked as partners for years and many of our global customers are already working with our BA office. With this new agreement, we can offer our customers more efficiency while maintaining the same level of craftsmanship.
“This means more opportunities for our artists and isn't that the ultimate goal? From the bottom of my heart, I couldn't be more excited about our partners Lautaro and Tomi, our amazing BA talent and the future of 1stAveMachine BA in both the LatAm and the general market. So many great things are about to come. "
Notable works by the 1stAve BA directors include Little Big Awesome, an Emmy Award-winning animated series directed by partner Tomi Dieguez for Amazon Studios, and Earth, a music video for rapper Lil Dicky directed by TRONCO alum Fede Heller. The latter received more than 250 million views on YouTube and won a bronze Cannes Lion and “Best Music Video” at the Webby Awards.
In addition, director Toni Balseiro created “Payada Pa Satan”, a mixed-media social-ambient short film that rejects open mining and pollution. Got Milk, a stop-motion campaign by TRONCO creative duo Becho & Mab, won several Webby Awards. The talent, design and animation studio Hueso was rounded off in order to further increase the number of employees in the new office.
“We see ourselves as ambassadors for local talent,” said Lautaro Brunatti, 1stAve BA Partner and Executive Producer, “and now we have the opportunity to be part of a global network that increases our chances of creating new and better opportunities for everyone. We love the idea of finding this new path between local creative potential and business opportunities abroad. "
Tomi Dieguez, Partner / Director of 1stAve BA, sums it up best: “We are passionate creators who constantly challenge ourselves and want to develop our skills, not only in advertising, but also as we expand beyond advertising and branded content to enable more animation and mixed media narratives. ”
