Just when we thought we couldn't look forward to the second season of The Mandalorian! The series creator Jon Favreau recently announced that the second season of the popular and highly anticipated Star Wars spin-off will feature more characters and use a storytelling format that is very much a fan-favorite HBO fantasy series is similar. Favreau sat down with Entertainment Weekly and said, "The world was really intrigued by Game of Thrones and how it played out as the characters followed different storylines – that's very appealing to me as a viewer."
Rosario Dawson (Daredevil, Rent) and Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet, Fargo) are supposed to give this cast even more expression. Hopefully this means we won't see less of our beloved child, but we are very ready for a possible Cara Dune – Queen of Dragons moment.
The series starts right where the first season ended when Mando and The Child escape the clutches of Moff Gideon. Pedro Pascal, Mr Din Djarin himself, says of his character in the new season: "He is in an unexpected way a passenger of the experience – he does not know what is to come, not how much or how best to protect the child. " We don't know how far it will go and they are finding new ways to postpone the envelope. "
Season 2 will reportedly include eight episodes of varying lengths directed by a team of directors, similar to the first season. This is all very good news, but we are very excited about Dawson's highly anticipated debut as Ahsoka Tano. The power was really with us in this case.
Experience Mandalorian Season 2 when it premieres on October 30th on Disney +.
