View Conference 2020 presents a virtual conversation between two industry giants in the third free online session. It is based on Pixar's rendering software – RenderMan. It has created its own benchmark in the niche area PBR (Physically Based Rendering).
RenderMan is widely used in blockbuster Hollywood films. Although Pixar’s proprietary software development is used by many other leading animation and visual effects studios. RenderMan credentials are not only limited to Pixar or the CGI characters of other 3D studios, but are also used in a variety of CG + live action films. The list includes Avatar, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Aladdin, LOTR, The Lion King and many more.
Learn this and much more in an exciting live streaming event from PreVIEW III. Pixar's RenderMan evangelist Dylan Sisson goes live with Ian Failes, VFX journalist and editor of Befores & Afters.com.
Dylan Sisson is an experienced animation and visual effects artist. His personal work was recognized as the “Best Computer Animated Short” at the Animar Festival in 1999. He then moved to Pixar. He is the man behind RenderMan Walking Teapot. Now he is also dealing with the latest technological possibilities of VR (Virtual Reality) and 3D printing.
