HBO Max Orders Second Season of Ridley Scott’s ‘Raised by Wolves’

After famed filmmaker Ridley Scott made his debut as the number 1 Max Originals since the platform's launch, HBO Max's serialized science fiction thriller Raised by Wolves has been extended for a second season. The series, which debuted in three episodes on September 3, continued to perform on the platform for its second week, growing its audience by nearly 50% week over week.

Raised by Wolves focuses on two androids set to raise human children on a mysterious virgin planet, Kepler 22-b. As the burgeoning human colony threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling people's beliefs is a treacherous and difficult task. Scott is executive producer on the series and directed the first two episodes. This was his directorial debut on the television series for the American audience. The series was created by Aaron Guzikowski, a celebrated writer and visionary behind the critically acclaimed prisoners.
