HBO Taking a Ceno-Bite Out of the ‘Hellraiser’ Universe

April showers bring May… cenobites? Right, a TV show in the famous Hellraiser universe may be under development at HBO. This won't be a fresh start (thank the devil), but a continuation and expansion of the already huge 10-film franchise. Pinhead itself may even reappear, but at the moment we only know that the show will follow the currently established mythology of the films.

The project is separate from the restart of the film franchise, which is currently being developed with Spyglass Media. Therefore, Demon on Demon may be fighting for attention across the board. The first team to unlock the lament configuration wins.

While the first film that was adapted from the novella "The Hellbound Heart" was written and directed by Clive Barker, it is currently not linked to the HBO project. Mark Verheiden (Battlestar Gallactica, Daredevil) and Michael Dougherty (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Trick r & # 39; Treat) will write, with David Gordon Green (Halloween) staging the first episodes. Dan Farah, Roy Lee, Lawrence Kuppin, David Salzman, Eric Gardner, Green, Danny McBride, Jody Hill and Brandon James are said to be EPs.
