This course, taught by Andrew Lowell, introduces the dynamics of rigid bodies in Houdini. Houdini's entry into realistic physics started with the dynamics of rigid bodies and has remained one of the most aggressive growth areas in both software and VFX. The right combination of animation, simulation, modeling and technical knowledge is uncomplicated, but essential to get a realistic destruction recording up and running. This quick start will introduce the basics to these concepts so you can be up and running quickly, whether you start learning or transfer knowledge from other packages.

For more information about the course, including a breakdown by class, see the course information page. It is available as part of an Greenscreen membership that includes access to over 250 courses.
