Jellyfish Pictures Promotes Matthew Bristowe and Sarah Tanner

VFX and animation studio, Jellyfish picturesannounced the promotion of Matthew Bristowe to General Manager and Sarah Tanner to Director of Operations. The move supports the company's rapid global growth and access to talent and leverages the company's expansive use of new, innovative virtual technologies. Both newly appointed directors will report to founder and CEO Phil Dobree and will play a key role in the company's continued expansion.

Bristowe joined Jellyfish in 2019 as Director of Operations after having worked in the VFX industry for over two decades, including senior positions at MPC, DNEG, Technicolor and One of Us. In his new role, he will be in charge of day-to-day management of the company as well as sales growth in the areas of VFX, art and feature animation for Jellyfish.

Tanner joined the company in 2017 and has led Jellyfish's talent strategy as HR Director for the past three years. During her tenure, she was instrumental in successfully growing the company's animation business, opening new studios, and moving to remote working during COVID. The new role recognizes these duties in an official capacity. Tanner will now oversee all operations and resources in addition to her HR responsibilities.

To support Bristowe and Tanner in their new roles, the company has hired a new Infrastructure Manager, Martin Weaver, to oversee ongoing efforts to innovate virtual technology and work globally. He will report to Jellyfish CTO Jeremy Smith and will work closely with Tanner. Weaver has 30 years of industry experience and has held senior positions at MPC, ILM and Technicolor.

Jellyfish also welcomed the appointment of a new HR manager, Eva Kilikitas, to take on Tanner's daily HR responsibilities. Kilikitas brings over 10 years of HR experience from the public and private sectors. In her new role, she will implement human resource and recruiting strategies to support the influx of new employees while ensuring that the company's values ​​and culture are maintained around the world.
