Michael B. Jordan is reportedly in talks not only to star in the third episode of the series "Creed" but also to direct. The news was first reported by Deadline as part of a larger story about Studio MGM, which produced and distributed "Creed II" in 2018 and produced "Creed" with Warner Bros. in 2015, which was sold domestically. The first "Creed" film was directed by Ryan Coogler, who directed Jordan in the films "Fruitvale Station" and "Black Panther". "Creed II" was directed by Steven Caple Jr. "Creed III" is the ninth installment in the "Rocky" franchise, which goes back to the original starring Sylvester Stallone, which won the 1977 Oscar for best picture. "Creed III" also marks Jordan's directorial debut, having previously produced "Creed II".

As early as February, THR reported that Zach Baylin, the writer of the upcoming Will Smith vehicle "King Richard", was writing the script for "Creed III". The film will continue the saga of Adonis Creed, played by Jordan. The original film grossed $ 173 million at the box office worldwide. The second film grossed more than $ 214 million worldwide. Jordan was most recently seen in the 2019 drama Just Mercy about racial justice as Bryan Stevenson. Next up in Tom Clancys Without Remorse, which is currently in post-production and due out next year, he will be the voice of the wonder series "What If …?"

Jordan is also reportedly in the process of developing a new Danny Boyle film entitled "Methusalah". It is an action / adventure story centered around a 1000 year old man who used his time on the planet to develop unparalleled survival skills.

Jordan was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award during his career for the production of the HBO film "Fahrenheit 451" directed by Ramin Bahrani.
