Director Paulo Garcia and the crew of the Zombie Studios in São Paulo use all their 3D and narrative talents to make Moby aware of the increasing problem of deforestation on Amazon with this video for a cover of Roxy Music's "My Only Love".
Zombie is no stranger to environmental and nature conservation issues and has staged this spot for the Born Free Foundation and this promo for the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival in New York.
Zombie director Paulo Garcia: "Working with someone I've always admired is an incredible opportunity in itself. It will get even better if his job is to send a message to the world about the rapidly growing deforestation problem in my home country, Brazil .
“Many artists did their best to make this music video. Beautiful music, strong graphics, amazing storytelling – everything we love most at Zombie. "
Moby: "It seems like we face new disasters almost every day, but as we deal with these horrors, the climate emergency is getting worse." And without the rainforests, our planet will quickly become a scorching, uninhabitable wasteland.
"The aim of this video was to remind people of the continuing horrors of the climate emergency and deforestation and to remind people that 90% of deforestation in the rainforest is due to meat and milk production."
In the past 10 years, Moby has donated 100% of the profits from most of its work to animal and human rights organizations.
